A general impression I have is that open source software is simply faster and more stable on open source operating systems. GIMP loads on my system in 4 seconds which is also very fast. is just instant, the shutdown is much less time than one second, I would say it doesn't take time. Loading a single player match against one bot for the Persian Highlands takes 5 seconds which is also fast for loading a full match. There is probably also a difference in optimization combined with more assets.
